Pars Isotope-Industrial Company, with the presence of experienced specialists and experts in the field of radiation laws and regulations, as well as the criteria and standards of the Office for Protection against Radiation, is capable of providing consultation to applicant companies for obtaining the license for practice and operation of radiation sources, and consultation for the clearance and transfer of industrial sources.
A License for Practice is an official document issued by the legal unit, based on the provisions of Chapter Two of the law and in accordance with Article 3 thereof, provided that all regulations and the executive bylaw of standards, criteria, and guidelines for radiation protection are observed, except for those exempted pursuant to the Basic Safety Standards for Protection against Ionizing Radiation and the Safety of Radiation Sources. This license is issued for a specified duration.
All the mentioned requirements for the License for Practice also apply to working with radiation.
Upon the applicant’s request for procedures such as the clearance, import, installation, and transport of radiation sources not listed in the applicant’s license, the legal unit shall issue a case-specific permit.
To obtain the License for Practice, the applicant must submit the necessary information regarding the intended use of the source and their radiation protection and safety programs, in accordance with the relevant regulations, to the legal unit.
License Holder: A person who has obtained the license from the legal unit, based on the provisions of Chapter 2 of the law, for the necessary actions stipulated in the License for Practice.
A Radiation Work Permit is a type of license which, for medical institutions, is exclusively for medical specialists. It is approved by a commission composed of two radiation protection experts from the legal unit and two specialists from the Ministry of Health, Treatment, and Medical Education, and is issued by the legal unit.
