Cobalt-60 point sources

The metal form of cobalt-59 converted to radioactive cobalt-60 in a nuclear reactor. This radioactive material (cobalt-60) is placed in austenitic stainless steel capsules (316L, 321, 304, 316) with a special design and then welded. Then tested for leakage according to ISO 9978 and national standard 11038. These capsules are available with radioactivity of 1 μCi to 2 Ci and half-life of 3-5 years with energy of 1.17 Kev and 1.33 Kev
